5 Months Old!
Happy birthday, Hannah! Today marks her 5 month birthday. She started the celebration yesterday with a big eating day. She had full servings of rice cereal for breakfast and lunch at daycare with four bottles in and around that. She then had almost twice her normal amount of rice cereal for dinner. So I guess that's growing.
She continues to do really well with the food. We've added sweet potatoes into the mix which she seems to like and which just adds to the cute mess she makes as she eats. She also loves to drink water and since she doesn't really get how to use a sippy cup yet we've figured out that she can drink out of a regular glass which looks really cute as she tries to hold a "huge" water glass.
She is almost able to sit up on her own now, she usually can manage it for a few seconds before slowly leaning and then falling one way or the other. But she's getting closer and it is only a matter of time before she figures it out.
We continue to celebrate Hanukkah this week (Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish readers!) and in our multi-cultural house we also have our Christmas tree up. Hannah is really intrigued by the shiny lights on the green thing in the corner. She has spent lots of time just lying and looking up at the lights on the tree this week. We'll see how long that lasts, but we're enjoying it while we can. And we know that next year it will be a little harder as she is able to reach and pull at ornaments. But for now we can enjoy our non-mobile little girl.
