Blogs I'm Reading
Over the years I've collected a list of blogs and sites that I try to read on a daily (or so) basis to get news and information. I tried a couple of different RSS readers and have settled (for now) on Google Reader for a number of reasons. It has a simple design, a web-based interface that is accessible anywhere, a mobile version that works pretty well on my PDA-phone and being from Google I have confidence that it will work and continue to be improved.
Here is a current list of the RSS Feeds that I subscribe to:
- Bex Huff - The premier UCM (aka Stellent) resource
- Boston.com Red Sox - Sox coverage from the Boston Globe and Boston.com
- Car Talk - Updated a couple times a week, it's a text version of Click and Clack from the NPR show.
- DVD Jon's Blog - From the man who cracked DCSS this in strange mix of musings on DRM-related tech issues and the occasional food recipe
- ESPN.com Headlines - This is great to see the headlines and keep up with random sports news, but I usually just read the headlines
- ESPN Sports Guy - Bill Simmons is my favorite sports writer (and not just because he's a Boston fan)
- Facebook Blog - Keeping up with what is new at Facebook
- Official Google Blog - The official word from Mountain View on a variety of subjects
- Official Google Mobile Blog - Using Windows Mobile, I love my Google apps
- Official Google Reader Blog - The group that creates the great RSS reader I use
- Hacking Netflix - A customer look at Netflix
- iLounge.com - A mix of reviews, news, and rumors about all things iPod
- Joel on Software - The best tech blog that I know of, Joel has some very intelligent and simple thoughts on the technology industry
- Joel on Software Discussion Group - Occasionally read to see what other Joel readers are talking about
- Just TV - A television professor from Middlebury who also loves The Wire and Lost
- LA Times Technology Blog - An interesting mix of tech news
- Lawrence Lessig - First it was copyright and now corruption, always interesting ideas
- Lifehacker Top - The front page news stories from Lifehacker
- Malcom Gladwell's Blog - Rarely updated, but he's a fascniating guy who always has interesting things to say
- Movable Type News - This is the company that makes the software on which this blog is built.

Hello, cousin mine!
What fun to think to google you and find pictures of your burgeoning family! Adorable kid.
I also like Malcolm Gladwell's blog. I don't know if you read much fiction, but Jonathan Carroll and, if he can be bothered to post at all, William Gibson always seem to be plugged in well.
Say hi; I'll trade you Olive pics for Hannah Rose's.
Yours, Chris
